Martin Saltzman, MD, has been in practice in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago since 1984. A Chicago native, Dr. Saltzman is a graduate of the University of Colorado Medical School. He completed his Internship and Orthopedic Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He has a keen interest in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement surgery and newer techniques in cartilage repair and transplantation. He was one of the first to perform the Carticel Autologous Chondrocyte procedure (Cartilage Implantation) in the State of Illinois, and is one of the most experienced in this procedure in the Northwest suburbs. Dr. Saltzman treats orthopedic problems in young, middle aged and older patients. In fact, approximately 50% of the patients cared for are under the age of 18. He is Board-Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
